Question

Audio sample rate mismatch

I'm trying to edit a MOV file at audio sample rate 44khz in Premiere Elements 11. However the audio playback seems to be fixed at 48khz, and the option to change this is greyed out in preferences. I've tried changing the sample rate via my soundcard to force it, but premiere stops playing audio and then eventually forces the sample rate back to 48khz. I've also tried changing the project settings before I drop the file in, but the option to change the sample rate is greyed out then too.

Can anyone advise on how to change the sample rates so they match please? With it stuck at 48khz the audio playback is jittery and sped up!

jimzig - I'm on an iMac. I use Sound Studio from Felt Tip software. It can change the cycle rate of an audio file.

Surely it's possible to change the sample rate within Elements? Tell me this isn't a software restriction!
