automatic pause in slideshow

Is there a way to make a slideshow that automatically pauses at each slide?  Like the slideshows that were done with slide projectors and 35mm film.

If you're asking if you can leave a slide up on screen until you click a button to advance to the next slide -- no, that's not something that can be done in Premiere Elements.

Thank you very much for such a quick reply.  I guess one just has to use the Pause/Play button for the DVD and skip any background music.  But then that leaves it quiet for reminiscing about the photo as we used to do!

PS - thanks very much for your youtube channel - I find it very helpful.
