Question

Best way to add photos to a narration

I am using Premiere Elements 2011 on a regular PC (not a Mac).

I have a narration that my dad did of his life from childhood and now I want to add some photos to it....

What is the best way to edit so that everything matches up easily?

I see now that it would have been best to start with the photos and add narration after but ..... hindsight right?

Does a narration line get edited the same as a video/photo line?

Thanks,

Judy

    Judy,

Unless I don't understand your question, it should be very easy.

Assuming your "narration" is an existing audio track, use the "Add Media" procedure and put it on any Audio track.  Put any and all of the photos above it.

If I remember correctly, the "Narriation" line has some special features that make it easy to plug a mic into your computer and add a commentary.  If your narration is an existing audio file, it may work better on a "regular" audio track.  Editing with cuts and trims does work the same on an audio line.  But, there are also additional controls for volume, fades, etc.

If you narration is a video, you can put any additional photos anywhere you want on the video track above the primary track.

Good luck!  Sounds like a fun project.
