Black border 4:3 dv cam capture

Question

I'm capturing dv video from an analogue camcorder via firewire to premiere elements 7. Original video 4:3 PAL. Settings in capture window matching. However there's a black bar on one side and the bottom. Can't see any way to, or even any need to, change aspect ratio. Is it pixel ratio issue?

Fyi it's a replacement camcoder not the original (panasonic nv200) but can't imagine that makes any difference.....

What device and which software are you using to capture the video?

If you look under the Edit menu in Premiere Elements, what is listed on the General page under Project Settings?

Open a sample of your video in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo, set View to Text and then copy and paste the report it generates to this forum.
