Bulk renaming of Elements catalog file names

I set up a picture naming system about a year ago that, after experience, is proving non-workable and I need to bulk rename all of my pictures: e.g. date_time_original name.  This is doable, but I also need to bulk rename all of my picture names in Elements 15 catalog to avoid without manually retagging all 17,000 plus of them. I see that you can bulk rename in the edit screen but does this carry over to the catalog as well?  If not, can anyone offer a suggestion.

    I know of no way to bulk rename files in your Organizer catalog.

    If you have any interest in Lightroom Classic CC, it will import an Elements Organizer catalog.  Once in Lightroom there is an abundant structure of choices to organize, tag and sort regardless of file names.   There is also bulk renaming.
