Can't access speed in Premiere Elements 14

When I go to "clip", "time stretch" the speed box is greyed and and can't be accessed.

Any suggestions on a fix?

Is the clip highlighted?

Are you trying to stretch a video or a still?

You can't time stretch a still, but you can change its duration by dragging the end of it on the timeline.

Hi: thanks so much for responding.

I am trying to remove all transitions from for a timeline. I read that if you select all clips then go to clip, time stretch and change the speed, it will delete all transitions.

Maybe E14 is not able to time stretch multiple clips in one go.
