As the owner of the 2020 edition you get tech help.  Select "Online Support" in the Help menu.  It will take you to a website with an icon in the lower right corner to start an "online chat".  They can remotely help with or find the issue.  Be patient!  With lots of people at home making videos they are busy.  And, I think they may be working from home too!

What if you double clicked in the Project Assets window?

Might be a Catalina issue: Elements 18 too old?

Or permission issue with the folders?

Edit: you through me off thinking you meant 2018 but you are using 2020

I changed the title of the thread.

Brand new Elements 2020 version 18.0

(downloaded last week)

Added an update a couple of days ago.

Double clicking in Assets doesn't help

Not sure how to give permissions

I can add media with the Elements Organizer, but it's an extra step

Yes, it is Elements and I may have posted in the wrong area. I couldn't find a way to delete my message.

Nothing happens when I try to click Files and folders.
I can add media via Organizer.
