Can't expand project assets panel

I can't expand the project assets panel horizontally or diagonally, only straight up and down. Also, several functions supposed to be in the panel are not visible. Any ideas?

    Version?  Screen shot? Computer OS?  Something, besides nothing would help a lot!

    A screenshot wouldn't add much in the way of help, I'm sorry to tell you.  It's as simple as this: the project assets panel displays on the left side and can only be expanded straight down.  Another poster had the same problem, which went unresolved.

    Well if you're not willing to do a screen shot,  maybe the version of Premier Elements and computer OS?  Apple? Microsoft?
