can't export video

Question

Hi,I am a new Premiere Elements user and not particularly tech savvy, though I tried looking through prior posts for ideas. When I try to save a 30 second video with a few clips spliced together, it says "rendering media" and either goes to 2-5% or doesn't go anywhere at all and then sits there indefinitely until I have to manually ctrl+alt+del to shut it down. Per advice in a prior post with a similar issue, I tried a simple video with just two images and it worked fine.
