Can't figure out how to add the work area bar in Premiere Elements 2021

Hi, I want to export just a small clip from a long video to test the right output settings, and while I can see there is an option to "Share WorkArea Bar only", I can't see any way to add this workbar to my timeline...

I've found the keyboard shortcut to use CMD+[ but this doesn't seem to work to add it, possibly because I'm using a German keyboard and the [ key requires pressing "alt gr" to access it.

I've also searched the PREL manual and while it discusses using the Work Area Bar, it doesn't tell you how to add it!

Anyway, this has been frustrating me for the past 20 minutes and I'm hoping someone can help me out!
