Can't separate audio from clip! HELP!

Hi all,

I've been using Premiere Pro for some time now and I know how to unlink audio from a clip and then delete. However, I'm running into an issue with some of my clips from a recent film I did in that even after I delete the audio tracks, the audio is still playing. It is driving me crazy because a lot of it is on-camera audio that sounds god awful. Anyone know how to fix this?? Is there a hidden audio track?

Your description is brief!  Are you using Premiere Pro or Premiere Elements and which version.  Are you trying to edit a Premiere Pro project in Premiere Elements?

If it is Premiere Elements the audio will unlink and be ready for deletion.  (I did it this morning on a short video).  You can also mute the track.  However, there can be 99 tracks.  It is possible that you have somehow copied the audio from the primary track to a backup track somehow.

Can you post a screen shot?
