Cannot access videos after upgrading to Premier Elements 2018

I upgraded Photoshop Elements to 2018 and converted the catalog.  Then I upgraded to Premier Elements 2018.  When I open a previously created video it does not display.  Also many of my photos are missing from the video and the music track is not there.  Did I miss a step?

    When you say "a previously created video", do you mean that you tried to open a project created in a previous version of Premiere Elements?

    Premiere Elements isn't backwards compatible, so that won't work. In fact, it might even corrupt your project file so that no version of the program can open it.

    In my books, I always recommend finishing your projects in the same version of the program as you started them.
