Cannot save Keyboard Shortcut Customization in Adobe Premiere Elements 2024 on Windows 10

Hi new user here.

 

Try to create custom keyboard shortcuts. No problem.

Save the Custom set. No Problem Reported.

 

However if I close and re-open, it goes back to the default set and does not show the saved set in the dropdown list.

 

I couldn't find an answer in either the forum or the help files.

    I have the same issue. So I went into the 24.0 folder in Documents and was surprised to find that no profile folder exists. So I created Profile-[MYNAME] and then a Win folder within this, where the .kys  files are supposed to be located. I even transfered a .kys file from Premiere Pro 23.0 so at least something could be visible. I went back into Elements 2024, created some custom keyboard elements, saved them as a new preset and exited the dialogue box. Guess what? Nothing! No saved kpresets, no entry into the folder i had created, no attempt to see my Pro 2023 file either.  Now, as to Windows permissions, I ran Elements as an administrator with full file permissions. So Windows isn't the problem. ELEMENTS IS THE PROBLEM!
