Cannot update Premiere Elements unsupported browser

Question

I cannot install the 2021 update to Premiere Elements ver 18.0.   I have Windows ver 20H2 19042.1237 and Chrome 93.0.4577.82. I also have Internet Explorer 11.  I have tried all the posted solutions that involve installing the correct registry keys to fix this (Installng aaslapp.exe in the P7 folder)., and although they work for others, they do not work for me.  What do I do next?

Added idea... based on a FEW people who had problems with the earlier 2021.2 update

DE-activate to release the serial number, then UN-install, then download and do a fresh install

The download is supposed to be the latest version, with all updates included... since 2021 is version 19 I will presume that 2020 is version 18
