Chugging Sound

Recently I bought a Browning Spec Ops Edge Model BTC-8E  wildlife camera, which records videos on MP4 format. When I edit videos from it using APE 11 I hear a repetitive "chugging" sound at 3 or 4 beats per second that wasn't on the original video. The Browning's the fourth trail camera I've owned but the only one where I've encountered this phenomenon when using APE.

Has anyone else had this problem, please, and if so is there a solution?

I wouldn't give up so easy, ian. If you can give us the MediaInfo report, we can likely figure out what's going on and what to do about it.

Just open your original video in MediaInfo, then set the program's View menu to Text. Copy this text and paste it to this forum. We'll take it from there.

Thanks, Steve.

Is this the information that's needed?

Ian

>MP4 format

MP4 is a wrapper, what is inside YOUR wrapper - Exactly what is INSIDE the video you are editing?
Report back with the codec details of your file, use the program below
Free program to get file information for PC/Mac http://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download
- when you analyze your file in MediaInfo and post a screen shot in the forum, do so in TREE view
- post your information IN your message, not as an attachment that someone would have to download

Many thanks for your reply. I followed the link and installed MediaInfo, but so limited is my techy knowledge that I understand as much about codecs and TREE as the average pet dog does. I think I'll just have to reduce the volume on the APE audio track and carry on regardless; either that or use different movie-editing software.

Thanks again,

Ian
