Copy/Paste effects and transitions not working

Hi there guys,

 

So I'm trying to copy some transitions effects I have put onto 2 clips, onto a new 2 clips of the same length (it's just the same clip but better quality so I want to transfer the effects)

So I select the 2 original clips, right click select copy, and then select the 2 other clips and right click select past effects and transitions, but it doesn't transfer the effects, it just doesn't work. 
why is this happening and how can I fix this? This seems like a bug to me as I'm doing everything right I think

Hi @Antoni5E84 . You can add a new adjusment layer by clicking Project Assets-> Panel Options->New Items-> Adjustment layer. Once it is added to the timeline you can add all your effects on to the adjustment layer and copy/extend the layer over any of your video by placing it just above video track of your clips.Hope your issue is resolved by this. You can't paste effects and adjustments from a transition. You can only paste effects, settings, adjustments and keyframes. You also can only copy and paste these effects and adjustment from one clip, not two. However, you can paste them to one or several clips.
