Couldn't start Update Manager error, cannot update Adobe Elements on my Mac

I had been prompted to install an update on both Photoshop and Premier Elements (2021 Suite) to 2021.4. However, when I try to instal (either "now" or "Install at exit"), two windows pops up stating: 1) "couldn't start update manager. Retry after some time" and 2) "Choose an application to open the document URL..."

I am using a 2018 MacBook Pro and running Big Sur v.11.6.2.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mike

Download the current trial installer(s) and do a fresh install, with your serial number(s)

You may need to UN-install what you have before doing the fresh install

Thank you for your help! I uninstalled and reinstalled the Elements suite as you suggested. It installed better and easier than it has in the past. Since the fresh install, I am not prompted to update yet, but I trust the problem is respolved. Thank you again for your prompt help, I am sorry I have not been as prompt in getting to your fix.

As far as I know, the 'trial' downloads are always up to date with the latest version
