I have updated my Adobe Premiere Elements 2013 to 2020 because the app crashes if I open the setttings (where I can change global settings, recording, rendering). Is there any solution from Adobe?

Things I have done:

- I have updated my Windows 10 64bit to the actual packages incl .NET updates,

- I have updated my JAVA JDK to the actual resources 14.0.2,

- I have installed Kaserpky,

- I use 3 monitors, all FULL HD resolution,

- I have a computer like this (intel i7, 3,6 GHz, 16 GB Ram, 64bit, 224 GB SSD > 6,92 GB free, AMD Radeon Pro > AMD Fire Pro W5100, 4 GB, GDDR5, 1000MHz)

I know, that the settings have done. Now, in 2020 and 2013 the settings crashes...

A solution? I guess that depends on what's causing the problem.

You say you were working with version 2013, by which I assume you mean version 13. Are you saying that you didn't have any problems until you upgraded?

Also, are you working with new projects? You will not be able to open a version 13 project in version 2020. Doing so will certainly lead to corruption and crashes.

What media are you editing? Do you get crashes every time you open a blank project or do you have problems if you add so much as a photo to your timeline?

1) The problem was first in V13. Because the problem I have bought V2020 and deinstalled V13.

2) Actually I work only with new projects, I dont have opened any project from the V13. If it's correct what you say... that I can not open my old projects any more... shame on you ADOBE, shame on you...

3) I just opened V2020 and go straight forward into the settings > CRASH. Second time I have created a new project with 5 pics, no movies. Save the project, then I go to the settings and it > CRASH.

If both versions of the program are giving you similar stability issues it's more likely something in your system rather than a problem with the software. Assuming you've gone to the AMD site and installed the latest drivers for your system -- particularly the very latest for your graphics card -- rather than trust Windows to do this and you're still having these issues I'm not sure what to recommend.
