Crashing when opening project

I bought Adobe Premiere elements 2023 to edit Youtube Videos.

The most recent project has been the longest and most edited so far.

Previous projects have crashed as i added more to it but they would eventually open up after a couple of attempts.

The recent project crashes a few seconds after loading up and has continued to not open properly since, no matter how many attempts without an error message.

However, clicking on an auto-save file by adobe thats the same project it opens up perfectly fine but it doesn't have the most recent edits.

Before it opens a file opens asking 'where is file...?' which a file that doesn't exist so i press cancel each time. In the past thats never affected anything till now possibly?

I can't find anything online about assisting with project crashing for Elements.

You should attempt to locate the files indicated when the project opens as they are part of your project or at the very least are in your Project Assets. I'm not sure why your program lost track of these files but you should help the program re-locate them or you may run into issues later in your project.

BTW, how much free, clean, defragmented space is on your hard drive? You say your project is very long. If that's the case you'll need lots of free space (as much as 100 gigs) for the program to use for scratch space. Also, render your timeline regularly (pressing Enter) to keep the line along the top of your timeline green. This can increase the program's stability as you work.
