Docking and undocking panels

At this URL: https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/premiere-elements/using/dock--undock--group-and-float-panels.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com, Adobe talks in detail about docking and undocking of panels. Does this function work the way it is suggested? If so, I can't make it work and I've had Adobe products for decades. The two most obvious contenders for the process are Project Assets and Add Media. Yet these seem pretty immovable.

Now I know full well that Elements is not Pro. I have Pro; I geddit. But why go to great length to illustrate a feature in Elements that doesn't seem to do anything useful? Related to the this, why does the dual monitor mode not releaee all the function panels and why does full screen mode not offer a choice of monitor?

The document does talk in detail about docking etc., BUT in Elements docking is very, very limited.

The only thing I did was docking the Source Monitor with the Program Monitor.

One can move the toolbar around but I cannot get it to dock anywhere I like.

I actually tried to follow the advice in the document but only succeeded in removing the ability to access the Project Assets panel in its entirety. It wouldn't drop down, despite closing and reopening the programme. I had to reinstall the software. When you say: "The document does talk in detail about docking etc., BUT in Elements docking is very, very limited", the instructions are quite specific as to the abilities. Should Adobe not want to qualify their claims?

Are you talking about version 2025? Docking/undocking is a bit more effective in version 2025. Though, yes, you'r'e right. While sever panels can float, not all can.
