Does a single licence cover downloading to both PC (Windows) and Mac

Where the Elements licence covers 2 devices, can 1 of them be used on a PC and other on a mac? If I download for PC can I use same licence key when I download for the mac?

One other (maybe minor) difference is refund policy. If you buy disks, there may be no refund from the retailer. If you buy direct downloads from Adobe you have short window (2 weeks?) for a full refund if you are not happy with the program or how it works on your computer. There are also free trials.

If you buy the boxed version, you will get install discs for both Mac and PC and you can install one on each.

However, if you download the program, you get two installations -- but either on the Mac or PC. Not both.
