why my camcorder is not recognized by premiere elements 2020 while 'it is by photo gallery, VLC media player.... ? thanks for your Helps.

Premiere Elements 2020 does not interface with tape-based camcorders. The tool for capturing from miniDV and HDV camcorders was removed after version 12.

If your miniDV is attached to your computer via a FireWire connection, you can capture the video using WinDV and the captured video will be editable in Premiere Elements.
