When editing I experience a very bad play back of my clips. Pics and sound operates like a car driving over a very bad road. Why doesn't it just playback smoothly? The final product is okay. I have a good Windows Dell laptop. Pls help.

    Make sure Default Input in the Audio Hardware in the Preferences is set to No Input.

    Also, ensure you have the latest drivers for your audio.

    And make sure your audio is not overmodulated (too loud) based on the readings on your Audio Meters.
