Editing in PrE22 4K Video From iphone - Crossover transitions problem

Hi - this is the 1st time I have played with 4k video.  I have a very powerful PC, with tons of ram, but wow, editing 4k is very slow.  I can deal with the speed, but I am finding that many of my clips are getting garbled, even after full rendering, and even after exporting to an mp4.  I went back in and removed all of my crossover transitions in between all my clips and it seems to get rid of the garbled video.  Has anyone had this issue or anything similar?  Any thoughts?  I do like having my transitions and the final product is pretty lame without transitions?  Thanks

What are the iPhone settings?  H.265 or H.264 (which works better).  Variable frame rate or fixed (which works better).

I have a moderately equipped laptop that works well with 4K30/H.264 from a few cameras, a drone and an Android phone.  We should be able to get yours working too.

Thanks for the reply.  Here is the situation.  This is footage from my daughter's recent wedding.  They (meaning me, since I was paying) had some "social media" person filming (vertical!) at the wedding.  She turned over all her footage and I am trying to organize it into a wedding video.  But I dont know what her settings were, other than 4k and 60fps.  She has the latest iphone - wouldnt you assume it 264?  There is no info in the file properties...

Exactly what is INSIDE the video you are editing?
