Editing screen

Hello all

When I download a file to Premier Elements 10 and put it into the timeline it plays OK but seems to be in the background. The pointer moves along and the sound is there but the screen image does not move. This is a recent development. I tried reinstalling but that did not help. My computer is new and has the requirements to run video editing. I hope this image helps. I am really stuck on this.

    If your computer is new and running a current operating system, there may be an unresolvable mismatch.  

    What is the computer configuration?  What is the file type?  Can you post a screen shot of the General Settings page?  Also a screen shot of the Audio Hardware settings page?
