Editing VR 360 degree GoPro footage in Elements 2026

Question

I can’t find this being answered. I need to take GoPro Max 2 Footage in to Elements into a 9:16 (vertical) aspect ratio project. I can bring in a wide aspect ratio video and the VR options button appears under the preview, but I can’t get the VR options button to appear when I create the project as a vertical video. I’m struggling to see what I am missing. I’m hoping to do all my keyframing in Premiere Elements instead of making all those choices in GoPro Player. Sorry. Kinda a noob here.

In order to be able to edit VR you need to use a preset

Does not look like vertical is supported

You can edit in wide (using black bars to fake the vertical mode), Export then bring the file back into Elements and drop it in a vertical sequence and export again.
