Elements 10 install on mac

Question

I am trying to move my Adobe Premiere Elements 10 from an older to PC to my mac powerbook with macOS Sierra 10.12.1 and get errors when doing the install.  There was a link to a fix for this but I can get the fix program to run.  Do I have options?  Will I have to purchase a new version of Elements?  BTW, Photoshop Elements 10 installed

I'm certainly not a Sierra expert, but my guess is that using a brand new OS with 5 year old software is going to cause ugly bumps in your road to smooth, reliable video editing.

A fresh version 15 was on sale (at least yesterday) for a price below the Amazon "upgrade" price. If you buy it from at least one big New York retailer, you don't even have to pay sales tax!
