Hi,

trying to export MPEG file with Elements. Estimated file size 100Mb. Free disk space 1,78TB.
It gives systematically Internal error -Check disk space error message with MPEG custom export. It doesnt matter what project, what file or what computer. Tried 2 different computers and 3 different internal disks.

Always Internal error with MPEG. All other export types works fine but MPEG no.

What to do??

I see the same error on the mpeg2-dvd setting

Use the mpeg2 (without the dvd) settings and match source.

Interesting you get the same error.
I tried MPEG2 (without the dvd) but I am getting the same exact error with MPEG2 (without dvd) also. 😞
Used match source.

This is getting frustrating when the software do have the option but only gives this error systematically only on MPEG settings.

This must somehow be reported to the developers.

Can you or someone recommend some other export settings that would maintain quality in my case and a DVD burner software that would handle it without changing the format to progressive or destroying the settings?

Delete all custom presets and start fresh on mpeg2.

This issue has been reported.

Which version of the program are you using on what operating system? What happens if you output a standard MP4 instead?

How long is your video project?

What video are you using to create your project? What camcorder did this video come from?

Hi Steve.
Thanks for reaching out.

I am running the software on Win 10 but also tried on a Win 11 computer with same results.
The software is Elements 2023 (ver 21).

The project video that I am testing with is only like 2 minutes to be sure it isn't too big.

The video is a video interlaced PAL DV video in AVI format that comes from a company that have digitized my old VCR (VHS) tapes. So it is only SD 720x576 PAL, interlaced, bottom up AVI files.

Using custom settings where I can choose MPEG2, MPEG2-DVD, MPEG2-Blu ray.
If I choose MPEG4 it starts to export. Seems to be working. But with MPEG4 I can't choose 720x576 which is needed to maintain the file properties.

What I am trying to do is to export a file that would work on a normal DVD-player and still maintain 720x576 PAL interlaced without loosing any quality from original file. How could I do that with Premier?

Hi again,
Do anyone know if something have happened on this issue?
I did find old posts in the support forum from like 5-10 years ago where users had the disk full error without it beeing full. It feels pretty sad and bad that Adobe hasn't taken it serious and beeing able to fix that issue yet after so many years???

Feels like they do not care?
