What settings do i best use to export a movie (montageen render in premiere elements 2026) to a USB or external HD to send this movie to a projector via a laptop?

    What kind of video are you editing?
    Standard    720   x 480    DVD Resolution
    720p          1,280 x 720    High Definition
    1080p        1,920 x 1,080    Full High Definition
    4k              3,840 x 2,160    Ultra-High Definition
    8k              7,680 x 4,320    New, not widely used

    John’s definitions are accurate.  Nearly universal are the settings in the YouTube preset that is displayed on your first screen.   Better would be to match the capacity of the projector.  Most are HD so John’s spec of 1920x1080 would work.  However some of the more expensive projectors can use 4K.  

     

    For a more complete answer, it would help to know the specifications of the source images, the project settings and what kind of projector will be used.
