I justr bought Premere Elements 2022. Trying to figure out how to export an uncompressed file that will match the settings of the original file? Do I have to make a preset to do that?

Thanks in Advance

I just want to keep a master file that has as close to the same specs as the original source file

The original files are AVC/H.264 compressed HD 1920x1080 files. If you load them into a Premiere Elements project, the program will match those specs and maintain the original's integrity. Your 1920x1080 exports will be virtually identical to the originals.

Are you saying your original file is uncompressed? (And we are talking about video, right? Not a photo.)

If you're asking is there a way to put an uncompressed file into the program and get the file out the other side without it having any compression, that's not possible in Premiere Elements. The workflow of Premiere Elements will compress it at some point, even if you put uncompressed in and output uncompressed.

But what exactly are you to accomplish? There may be a way to do it without having to lug huge uncompressed files around.

What is the source of your video? What device is creating your uncompressed video file?

The source file's would be from a canon 7D MKII and a Panasonic HC-V700 video camera.  The panasonic file is an MTS file. I want to make a master file to archive that is uncompressed if possible.

You can export Uncompressed avi or mov files from Elements (Advanced settings).

But these files are huge, realy huge.

Visible lossless would be Quicktime Animation and smaller file size.

Alas Elements does not support Prores otherwise that would be the best choice.
