FB removed sound from Video by Premiere Elements

FB considers I do not have the right to use music I acquired in the Adobe Premiere Elements 2021 bundle so they muted my Video.

I am far from being a legal expert but I believe it is quite clear that I can make free use of anything created and built out of Premiere Elements.

How do I add the appropriate credentials for the Premiere Elements music to my video to avoid copyright inconveniences on social networks?

Kind regards,

Tone

Yes, YouTube, FB, Instragram and the rest use automation to find stolen music.  One computer then 'talks' to another computer.  In your case there was a glitch and it may not be easily solvable.   It shouldn't have happened but it did.

If it were me, I would replace the music track.  Premiere Elements music tracks, as good as they are, are not good enough to make or break your video.   Find some other royalty free music, paid or free and use it.   My current favorite source for no cost royalty free music is the "YouTube Audio Library".  There are thousands of music pieces from good, but unknown artists.  There are other sources too.

Good luck and I'm sorry the system broke for you.

Hi Bill,

Thank you very much for your reply that consolated me a lot. I would gladely follow your suggestion that promises to improve my creativity and hopefuly also prevent future "tech glitches".

In the world of high tech, mighty tech players, automation, AI and alike it takes one glitch to feel completely lost in space. But until there is a human somewhere that is willing to help, there is hope. 🙂

Best wishes for 2024, kind regards,

Tone

You challenge is with FB, not Premiere Elements.  If you used the included background music provided as a Premiere Elements feature you have the correct rights.

Thanks, you are right that this is a FB issue but I hope that somebody already cracked it and is willing to share it.

The catch is that the mighty FB is widely explaining that it is necessary to acquire the right to use the music but anything about how to tell them that you are not breaching copyrights. Weird but my true experience.

They simply assume you do not have the copyright and mute the sound.

Eventualy, I would ask what would Adobe expect from me to let other note I have the copyright on Premiere Elements music. Simply adding a title clip saying "music by Adobe Premiere Elements" or so?

Of course, there is always the possibility that I simply do not understand what is all about and I need some enlightenment.

Kind regards,

In the mean time I learned on Meta (FB owner) site, that they use automated music recognition and they contact/check with the music author/source. So, IMHO, this means that the issue is not only on FB, Adobe should be involved.

Second, I posted the exact same video on Instagram (Meta owned!) and it results complete, music included!

So, now I'm completely confused...
