Question

Font size premiere elements user interface

I just installed Photoshop elements 2020 and Premiere elements 2020. My display size is 2560x1440.

UI in photoshop element is OK ans similar to the look and feel I had with Photoshop Element 11.

UI in premiere elements uses very big fonts and look like low resolution screen. How can I solve this, which make Premiere almost useless ?

Thanks for the help.

After some experiments, it turns out that goiing to properies of the program, compatibility, modify High DPI to Scaling factor performed by system partialy solve the issue.

- OK with scaling 100%, big fonts with scaling 125 %.

In all cases, the behaviour of Photoshop Elements 2020 is different than the one on Premiere Elements 2020. WHile it was identical and OK with version 11.

Would you like to explain how you did it?

"it turns out that going to properties of the program, compatibility, modify High DPI to Scaling factor performed by system partialy solve the issue."

I've got a Thinkpad laptop with 1920x1080 display and sizeing scale 150%. Still most of the descriptions in Adobe Elements are tiny...

Please don't call whatever program you're discussing "Adobe Elements." There are actually three different programs in the Elements suite: Premiere Elements, Photoshop Elements and the Organizer. Each functions differently and with a different set of preferences.

When you say "Adobe Elements" we can't tell which program you're talking about.

Photoshop Elements does indeed have settings for working a UHD display. I don't know that Premiere Elements does.

I'm not sure what "1920x1080 display and sizing scale 150%" means, but all three program should display just fine on a 1920x1080 at their standard settings. Though I suppose on a laptop the interface could look tiny depending on the actual size of your screen. My 1920x1080 monitor is 23 inches in diameter. If your laptop screen is, say, 17 inches or less in diameter, everything on it is going to look smaller -- and some of those Thinkpads have screens as small as 14 inches in diameter!

Thanks.
Do you mean that you get the same look on première elements than on photoshop ? I get much bigger fonts on premiere.
