Freeze Frame and using Photoshop Elements

Using Premiere Elements 15.  When Freeze Frame is selected the software doesn't seem to recognize my installed version of Photoshop Elements 2018 (version 16) . . . wants me to download or install a new trial version of Photoshop.  Of course the oposite problem exists when I open Photoshop and select Video Editor, it does not recognize that I have Premiere Elements 15 installed.  They were purchased separately.   Are these two versions compatible?  If so, how can I link them?

    I don't think you can link different versions.  I think you will need the same version of each for them to properly communicate to each other.

    Yes, unfortunately it appears you are correct.  I tested trial versions and confirmed that it works when versions are matched  . . . unless someone knows otherwise . . .
