from 4:3 format to 16:9 format in Elements 2020?

How do i start a new job so that it can be in 16: 9 format.
I work in the PAL format.

 

When I start a new job it will not be in 16: 9 format. There is something missing from org. the movie on the left and right side and only 4: 3 format is displayed even though I have set my new job to FULL HD 1080i 25

Do a Ctrl+N(Win) or Cmd+N(Mac), choose a project settings you would want to edit by clicking on Change Settings button and make sure you check "Force selected Project Settings on this project". You can then import assets to timeline and this will not change the existing project settings.

Open the Edit menu and tell us what is listed on the General page under Project Settings.
