Gopro 7 problems

I am unable to edit videos in premier elements 19 from my gopro 7 I have no problem with my Gopro 3+. Do I need to upgrade to Premier Pro to achieve this or do I need to install a software to enable me to edit gopro7. Any ideas Thanks Tony

If your video is of hevc codec, you can use those footages in Premiere Elements 2019 on Mac only. Currently, Windows version of Premiere Elements 2019 does not support hevc editing. Variable Frame Rate footages are supported on both Win and Mac versions of Premiere Elements 2019.

If you filmed in hevc you cannot use Elements only on the mac.

You cannot upgrade from Elements to PrPro.

Also you dont buy the program but take out a subscription by the month or year.

Thankyou for your answers really helpful as I then realised I might get gopro 7 to work if I change the resolution to the lowest level and yahoo it worked I can now import these videos into adobe premier elements but not at the highest resolution. Thankyou all. As you have probably realised I am not very tech minded but learning.

It depends. If the issue is that your GoPro video has a variable frame rate or your camera uses the H.265 codec, then yes, you will need to either convert your video or use another program to edit it.

To find out if that is the issue, open a sample of your GoPro video in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo, set View to Text and then copy the report it generates and paste it to this forum.
