GoPro files start to stutter with 4 seconds.

Hardware meets the Adobe specifications and I recently installed another 16GB of RAM as I was informed that this would stop the 'stuttering' in the preview window. Well, it is still happening so can someone please point me in the right direction as to how I can avoid the stuttering? The GoPro files are 4K and range from 60fps to 30fps.

Many thanks

Steve, so I have to Render the media beforehand as well as when I have completed my edits? I was under the assumption that I only had to Render when I was ready to finalise the clip after all the edits etc.

No.  Rendering is only used for generating previews and not needed before export.

What is the resolution and frame rate of your video? Premiere Elements can only edit 3840x2160 video at 30 fps. A lot of GoPro cams shoot video at 60 fps.

Hi Steve and thank you for your input. Yes some of the clips are 60fps but most are not. The issue was happening with both.

I do believe I have found the answer which alluded me for many Google hours. When I add the media, I need to Render it in order for it to be able to playback without issue. I am new to this so still learning the process.

Let me know if I am incorrect in my findings and thank you again.
