group and cut

Win 10, PE 2018

I take a clip with audio.
I remix and align the sound.

then I group it so both

the original sound and the remixed sound
stay aligned with the video.

now I can edit, by cutting the whole session into songs.

except PE does not seem to like that.

apparently you can not cut the track into songs

and move the cuts around independantly. if you can,

I don't see how.   the whole track follows the clip.

and adobe help seems to never help,

only to try to sell me something new.

to tell me that the only help they can give for PE 2018

is to sell me the PE2019 makes it clear
that they are not help / support, but rather marketing.
why would I pay to get new product
when I can't get a useful answer to a simple question.
