Have to sign in every time I launch PE 15; how to remove this?

About two weeks ago I purchased Premiere Elements 15 from Amazon. I specifically purchased the download up front, and did not get the trial version (I did have a PE 9 installed, which I did not remove). I received my software key, and the install seemed to go fine.

Now, every time I launch the Editor I am forced to enter my Adobe ID (password, it remembers my username); if I choose not to enter my credentials it exits PE. How can I get rid of this? The only related thing I could find on a search is here: How to Remove the "Sign In Required" that launches after install?  which isn't PE and, doesn't appear to work (so I haven't tried anything in that thread).
