Help! Premier Elements 22 will not pause my video when editing in expert mode.

Question

Help! Premier Elements 22 will not pause my video when editing in expert mode. Have a iMac Pro workstation with all lastest updates etc.  I have used previous versions with no issues on this computer.  Once I hit pause the program locks up and needs a hard reboot to work.  Any ideas?/. Thanks
