Help with reinstalling my old version of Premiere Elements

I have an old Premiere Elements 7 disc.   I have bought a new laptop without a disc drive.   I asked for help to get it on to my new computer and was told that was impossible as it was so old.   Nowadays I would only use it for old projects, so do not need to update.  I'm pretty mad at not being able to use it.   Any suggestions please.

Since you bought on disc, Adobe will not provide a download... so buy an external USB disc drive

Do be aware that such an old program MAY not work on a modern computer

Two ideas that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10
-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window
-and/or select Run as Administrator to assign FULL Windows permissions

I guess that "new computer" implies "with current operating system" e.g. WIN10 on a PC.

It is extremely unlikely that PE7 (released in 2008) will run under such conditions.
