How do I add text the to the image itself?

When I try to add text it blocks out it's own frame(s) creating a gap and does not appear on the actual video.  How do I do that?

I'm not sure what the latter part of your question means.

But to move the text around, double-click on the title on the timeline to open Title Adjustments. In the Adjustments panel, click to choose the Selection tool (the arrow) rather than the Text tool (the text). You'll then be able to move the block of text wherever you'd like in your video frame.

"I must say, using text is not well explained by Adobe."

Which is of course why I wrote my Muvipix.com Guide to Premiere Elements 2019, available on Amazon.

It took a while but I figured out what you were explaining.  Thanks

I must say, using text is not well explained by Adobe.

My other other question was answered when I got the Text thing working.

Where are you trying to move it? Around the video frame or to a new position on the timeline?

To the bottom area of the frame it's  in.

But, from what you ask it sounds like it will only show in one frame, not the entire clip

    Are you in Expert mode?

Can you post a screenshot of your timeline?

Have you gone to the Text menu at the top of the program and selected New Text?
