Question

How do I make a menu DVD using slideshows I have created in Organizer

I have used hundreds of photos to make 5 slidshows.  I want to produce a DVD that has menues to select which slideshow to watch.  I could do that in previous versions of Elements but 2022 does not have an option to Creat a Menu DVD, oly DVD labels and covers.

You can save your slideshows as MP4s, then you can load them into a Premiere Elements project and output a DVD with menu from there.

Unfortunately, Premiere Elements doesn't have the tools to create separate main menu links to each of the slideshows. But you can load all the slideshows as one movie and create links to each as chapters.

Unfortunately, as chapters, the disc will play through the rest of the timeline after a chapter is selected. It won't return to the main menu after each slideshow. But that's as close as you can get in this program.

Thanks for the reply

Elements 8 had the abvility to make DVD's with menues.  It was under the Creat Tab in Organizer and would take you to Premier to make the DVD.  It would produce a DVD with a main menu and submenues for each slideshow but that was before Win10 I think ... but it did work and i made more then one DVD that way. I never had to make the slideshows MP4's, it just accepted the slideshow sets in the DVD creator.  Is it new that 2022 does not make DVD's with menues?  Or did earlier versions change?

I can try the MP4 trick but the functions to not have DVD menues like Elements8 did is not acceptable to me.

The DVD authoring (on the Windows version of Premiere Elements) tools in version 2022 are no different than they were in version 8. You can't create a DVD menu with separate links to 4 different slideshows and return to the main menu after each slideshow. Not in version 2022 or in version 8.

But you used to be able to port a slideshow from the Organizer directly to Premiere Elements. That is no longer available. You need to now output an MP4 of your slideshow and import that into a Premiere Elements project.
