How to adjust resolution of the freeze frame export on PE 2018 ?

When I want to save a freeze frame via the Export function, I usually choose the bmp format. When I then check the ppi of the saved image, it shows as 96 ppi. How can I change the ppi to 300 instead of the 96 ?

(Perhaps this would not help at all, including that this is an old post.) 

 

The resolution with a jpeg freeze frame file, at least, can be changed.  The automatic resolution with a jpeg freeze frame file is 1440 x 1080.  To get it to another resolution instead, including 1920 x 1080, one would need to go to export and share near the top right of the screen, click on the image tab, then select the 1920 x 1080 resolution (it is automatically on the 1440 x 1080 resolution).  One can then click the browse button to choose where they want the freeze frame file to be saved, then click save.

Automatic dimensions of the freeze-frame are the same as the project settings.

If your project setting is 1440x1080 so will the freeze-frame be.

That's a bummer !!!

  But thank you for your quick reply.

   Maybe that would be a good enhancement to make. I'll suggest it to Adobe.   :-)

When you do a freeze frame any software needs to match the source video clip pixel dimensions.  There is nothing hidden in there that is more than what it starts with. 

Once captured, there are "resizing" procedures in software like Photoshop that can try to add pixels. 

Keep in mind, that "pixels per inch" applies to prints, not screens.
