How to edit duration of a text title

I added a text title over a video clip. I want it to stay on screen for 15 seconds. I have tried editing the duration. I expanded the length of the text box in the slider bar. I tried to use the Time Stretch option. It allowed to extend the duration setting, but it did not change the duration. What am I missing?

The play time, or duration of titles and still photos are controlled by grabbing and sliding the ends with your mouse. Grab it with a right click and move it.
