PE2023 does not appear capable of letting me import httpps:xxxxxxxx Utube video. Is there a workaround?

You cannot import steaming videos directly into the program.

Loads of free software to download from YT but the files are not always compatible with Elements mainly because of the codec used in those files.

I'm not sure what your method is for downloading YouTube videos is. It is slow, but I think you can screen record a YouTube video and the result will be a more standard H.264, 1080p MP4 file. As John says, there are sure to be copyright issues.

As far as I know you tube videos are protected by copyright... but, contact you tube to verify that
