Question

How to recreate location Pins from GPS data

Hello, I made a big mistake in my catalogue. Accidently I added a new location to all of my pictures.

As I detected my mistake I deleted the Pin and with that all assigned location information.

Is there a possibility to redo the automated detection of the location based on the GPS data as made during the initial import of the photos?

A reimport is not working. If I delete one photo out of the catalogue and import it again the location and Pin are added again.

Any ideas?

Best Regards

Frank

The location should be part of the pictures' metadata. How did you delete or change the location metadata?

Hi Steve, the GPS data is still stored in the pictures metadata, I checked this. But somehow the Organizer is not using this data for showing the picture as a pin in the map. All pictures are listed under UnPinned. If I load them in a new cataloge the pins are shown correctley. Something is stored in the cataloge that blocks this after my misstake. That happened after assigning manually a place and after I deleted the Pin out of the map. After this the Organizer is not using the GPS data again. This is somehow stored in the cataloge. My question is whether I can force the Organizer to use the GPS data again...
