How to Transfer Photoshop Elements 8 from old Mac to new Mac?

I know this is an old piece of software. Tried contacting Adobe with no help at all. I have the license and I initially downloaded this software on my first Mac. Adobe doesn't offer a way to download a clean version of this software today. I even tried deactivating it on my old computer but am running into errors that Adobe will also not bother to assist with. I tried copying the application onto a thumbdrive and move it over to the new computer but get an Error 6 code when trying to open it.

Any suggestions at this point?

Thanks for your help,

AJ

I received a direct message claiming to be Adobe and wanted me to e-mail Adobecare@mail2Expert.com

Unless you saved a copy of the downloaded file or you know someone who can loan you a disc, I don't know of any way to move the program to a new computer. But I also don't even know for sure version 8 will work on the post OS Mac operating system.

But even if you can get the program running on a current Mac, you probably won't be able to edit any of the current video formats. Version 8 was released back in the days when tape-based miniDV and HDV were state of the art. It will likely not even be able edit MP4s well, let alone most modern phone formats.

It might be worth picking up a copy of a more recent version of the program. Even version 12 is light-years ahead of version 8, and a used copy could probably be had pretty cheaply.
