HOWTO: Shake Reduction Using Selected Object via "Draw"

I have PE 2021 on a WIN10 desktop PC.

I have an HD video clip comprising a zoom into a harbour with two large ships.

The centre of the screen (used by default for shake reduction)  is just water.

So I thought I'd use the "Select object to apply effect" so that one of the ships would

be used for the reduction algorithm.  Correct?

I select the clip then Adjustments & Shake Reduction - then "Detailed".

The algorithm starts to work so I "Cancel" & select "Advanced" in order to

set "Crop Vs Smooth" to 12% (as recommended by Steve).

Unfortunately there is a big banner across the preview window with

"Click Shake Reduction to start again".  But the object that I wish to select

via "Draw" is behind that banner!

Any ideas on how to get around this?

So for this video it looks as if I have to have to use just the default Shake Reduction (as in the draft video I uploaded) or will complete the video some other way.

It still leaves open the question as to whether the "Select Object ..." facility can really be made to work.

Update: I replaced the end of that particular clip by a "Freeze Frame" so that the picture is steady whilst the captions are shown.

Mask most likely never worked on Shake, as it has been removed from resent versions.

Premiere Pro never had a mask feature on Warp Stabilizer (which is the same as in Elements).

See this pre-release version of my video starting at 2:20:  https://youtu.be/0zvX1fey3GQ

The video is only just over 3 minutes long.
This is with Shake Reduction without trying to use "Draw" - I had hoped to do something better!

For screenshot see below - I outlined my settings in RED.

Don't know how to fix this as it's an older version.

Shake will not work well while zooming in on an object.

An easy approach would be to cut out the zoom-part.

From which effect are you using DRaw as Shake does not have a mask option.

Please post screenshot applied effect with parameters open and screenshot of the ships in question.
