I can not view or edit the video on the timeline. The Add Media box is all that I see Elements2019

I can not view (play)  video on the timeline. The Add Media box is all that I see Premiere Elements 2019.  The Audio on the timeline can be edited and shared as normal.  I am also running Roxio Creater NXT pro 7 on the computer.  I have uninstalled and re loaded the Premiere Elements 19, but it did not fix the problem

I'm going to guess that the source of the video is not from a common consumer camera.  Premiere Elements can't "digest" all video codecs.   What is the source of the clips?  Can you install (the free) MediaInfo and paste a screen shot of a detail page of what's inside the video file?

It doesen't appear to make any difference on what type or where the video came from.  Even video's I have edited before will not play when using the timeline.  The video posts to the Video 1/ Audio 1 line but does not play to view on the screen.  This is a screen shot of a video that I had previously eddited but will not play on the screen.  I may have a video driver that has gone astray or has in interference with another program, or something but I do not know how to check.
