Question

Import mp4 files with multiple audio tracks

Adobe Premiere Elements 2024 should support importing videos with multiples audio tracks. This is a feature supported by many other tools, including Adobe Premiere Rush and Adobe Premiere Pro.

In this case, the source video is produced by NVIDIA Shadowplay.

How many tracks are you working with?  Can you share a short clip so I can try to figure it out?

Attached is a very short shadow play sample clip.

Thanks.  I thought I might find a relative simple work around using some of audio effects but failed.   I certainly don't know who Adobe targets with Premiere Elements, but it seems that it is people with common consumer cameras.  Files from video capture programs don't always work well.

This may not help since it is about Premiere Pro, not Elements, but I could only find one message about shadowplay

What does variable framerate have to do with importing multiple audiotracks?

I said it might not help, but that I didn't find any other shadowplay discussions

Maybe it should, but it doesn't. At least not well.

Yeah, I'm mainly trying to raise this as a feature request, especially since the other versions of premiere already do. I can work around it for now using Audacity (or similar) to split out the second audio track and import it separately into premiere elements, and use grouping to edit tracks together. But it's very slow to do this for every clip, and there's some rough edges around cutting and splitting video groups.

Elements is no way near Premiere Pro.

Elements can do basic stuff> Multiple audiotracks is not one of them.
